Yes, the venue is BYOB. However, in accordance with local liquor laws we ask guests to kindly refrain from bringing any hard liquor. Wines, ciders, beer and canned cocktails are all allowed!

Yes! We encourage guests to take photos and we will be posting a link to the album after the photographer puts the finishing touches on the pictures. However, during the ceremony we ask you to refrain from bringing your phone and taking pictures. We want the focus to be on the bride and groom and would prefer minimal distractions.

There are over 40 parking spaces dedicated to the building in a two level parking garage. We encourage guests to carpool as parking may become cramped. There are several paid parking garages downtown, but as the wedding takes place on a Friday night those spaces may also be limited.

Staunton is a rich area with a ton to offer! If you are an out of town guest, there are several local hotels available. There also is a reserved block of 12 rooms at The Hampton Inn Staunton, reserved under the ‘Walker Flores Wedding.” Some local hotels: Hotel 24 South- 24 South Market Street, Staunton//Clarion Point East- 200 Frontier Drive, Staunton

The dress code is cocktail attire. We ask guests to refrain from wearing white or cream colored dresses or suits.

Guests should arrive at The American Hotel around 3:45-4:00 p.m. Be advised seating is not assigned except for immediate family and friends.

Unfortunately, unless stated on your invitation, there will be no extra plus ones given due to the size of the venue. Children of family and friends have been accounted for in the final guest count.

Due to local noise ordinances, the reception will be over at 10:00 p.m. This allows ample time for clean up and for us to abide by local laws and the wishes of the venue.
